Mimicking Expressions and Collecting Community Data

Ditto

When faced with the prompt to create impact in the city of Pittsburgh, our team wanted to create something fun and delightful which would also help people be more in the moment in their daily lives and reflective of what they and others around them are projecting to the world through their facial expressions and emotions. Ditto consists of a bot that lives on street corners and a website which visualizes individual, neighborhood, and city data on emotions of people walking in the city. The bot mimics facial expressions of passersby and then pushes them to visit the website where they can learn more about themselves and their communities.
